Martha Tarlton

 

 

Martha Tarlton is originally from Silsbee, Texas.  Her mother, Pat Skinner, was her piano teacher until Martha graduated from high school.  She enrolled at Texas Woman's University, where she completed a degree in music as a student of Dr. J. Wilgus Eberly.  She subsequently went on to obtain a Master's degree in library science and was employed as a librarian and library manager at the University of North Texas for 27 years until retiring in 2006.

 

A resident of Denton, she currently studies with Dr. Rich Shuster at TWU, plays for her church, occasionally accompanies instrumental students in competitions, and does volunteer work in the community.  Husband Timothy and son Kevin are both firefighters.
